Want to produce like a pro but don’t have the right tools? Well give it up for Sandy Rivera because with his help you could change all that.

Known around the world as one of the most legendary producers of all time, Sandy is behind some of biggest tracks ever to hit the dance floor: Finally, Don’t Stop, Come Into My Room, Lollipop, Persuasion, Escape and Dirty Sax to name just a few.

As prolific as ever with his revitalized Blackwiz imprint, some may be surprised to know that Sandy almost exclusively uses Pro Tools in his home studio.

“It’s got everything I want and it gives me everything I need, from the back-end programs to the plug-ins to mastering the track and bringing live and digital together. It’s slick, quick and easy to master – and it doesn’t cost a fortune,” he said.

Now the Brooklyn-born artist is putting his money where his mouth is, joining forces with Pro Tools and leading download site Traxsource to offer you the chance to snap up over a grand’s worth of home studio equipment – a Pro Tools Digidesign MBox2 Pro Interface, Pro Tools 8 software, Music Production Toolkit2 option with plug-ins, and to top it all off, a pair of M-Audio CX5 monitor speakers.

To win, just put your own twist on one of Sandy’s most recent dance floor destroyers, Persuasion. Featuring Rae on vocals this killer house track has had clubbers and music fans moving for months. Now the parts are exclusively available on Traxsource to remix in this massive competition.

Once you’ve made your edit, log on to www.soundcloud.com/blackwiz/dropbox and drop off your track in before the closing date of December 16th. Then simply send your name, track mix and a contactable email to blackwiz@mn2s.com. Sandy and his team will listen to all entries submitted and the winner will be notified by December 21st.
